When I was growing up, I longed to live on my grandfather's ranch. These paintings are of his ranch, the place I where I felt at home. I remember riding with him to move the cattle, check bear traps, take salt to the high spots, and once he took me to see Sheep Creek Falls. I remember it like it was yesterday. There are some moments in your life that are so real, they stand out above all the rest. So precious, your mind clings to them until the day you die. Some things are worth remembering....
When I paint these mountains, I'm painting the memories, the feelings, the love of my grandfather and this special place on earth called the Rocky Mountain Front.
